               Have
you ever played in any other bands (also out of Black metal)? Which
are the relationships between Hagal and the rest of German BM bands?
Are there any conflicts, enemies, envies?

I played session drums at Funeral Procession from Leer/Germany.
Dirk played session bass at Pantheon/Hamburg, both Black Metal bands.
We know a lot of bands here, like Sanguineus or Carpe Noctem for
example. We have many friends here in the scene, I personally don`t
know about any enemies. They shouldn`t dare to creep out of their
              holes anyway!!!

Which are for your points of view the latest best Black metal
albums published in the Underground movement lately? Which are instead
the commercial ones that you’ve particularly appreciated?

Best: Nargaroth-Black Metal ist Krieg. I appreciated the newest
Borknagar album and the new Immortal stuff: Their still great, although
you could blame them to be “commercialists” for some reasons, but
you know what: I`m not interested in all that “commercial” discussion
anyway, it is fucking getting on my nerves!

              …And your Top-10 play-list ever?

              In no particular order:
              1.Iron Maiden-Live after dark
              2.Iron Maiden-Iron Maiden
              3.Manowar-Into glory ride
              4.Rhapsody-Symphony of enchanted lands
              5.Helheim-Av norron aett
              6.Burzum-Filosofem
              7.Nargaroth-Black Metal ist Krieg
              8.Angizia-Schachbrett des Trommelbuben Zacharias
              9.Obtained Enslavement-Witchcraft
              10.Immortal-Pure Holocaust
You see, not only Black Metal, I really love good Power Metal stuff!

Nature and local landscapes: how much are important for the members
of Hagal? Do you feel yourself influenced by those topics?

Of course. But describing our connection to nature would be too
long. Just one sentence: Nature is our life, so we have to protect
              it, think about it.

What is your greatest dream and what instead the worst nightmare?

Greatest dream: World tour supporting Darkthrone and Satyricon.
Nightmare: World tour supporting the Backstreet Boys!

Well, we are at the end of the interview. Future plains of Hagal
              and latest words for Bylec-Tum…

We will release our new full length album in the beginning of 2003,
watch out for it, Italy! Hail Black Metal
