Any
live shows are scheduled? With which bands would you like to go
on tour and with which bands it will be good for Hagal to tour?
(not necessarily metal ones)
We have played a lot of gigs here in Hamburg and other cities in
northern Germany. The bands we would like to go on tour with and
the bands it would be good for us to tour with are nearly the same:
Taake, Nagelfar, Einherjer, Enslaved, maybe Satyricon or Darkthrone…it
have to be metal ones, you see.
On the photos inside the booklet of the cd you stand in the middle
of a forest in the night, holding something in your hand. I believe
it is a knife or so…Why is that? The other members also have been
taken some very sophisticated photos, with no corpse paint at all.
What kind of attitude you have and in which ways it is different
from those of the other bands?
It is a Viking drink horn in my hand. We wanted to make pictures
as natural as possible. Why should we hide ourselves behind corpsepaint
or alike (like many other bands do)? We stand proudly behind our
music, and we shot the photos outside in the snow because of the
lyrical concept of “Karg”. We look the way we look everyday, because
this music is our life, and that´s what we want to express. If a
band uses corpsepaint and it fits into their lives, than it`s totally
okay…but when they use this stuff, just because of their faves doing
it, than it`s just embarrassing.
Do you know any new good bands we should check out?
Check out Funeral Procession from Germany, I know them and they`re
great. And Nagelfar, from Germany, too. They´re gods!!!
